Anonymous Guerrilla Poster Campaign
February 2018
Plagiarism is a constant issue. Throughout my senior year, our school had two major instances of student plagiarism and while the administration handled the problem quickly, I felt that the issue should be address to the student body more directly. Over the course of one night, I secretly installed 500 posters throughout Kent State University’s VCD Building.
I tile printed a large exhibition banner with jarring red color right at the entrance to the elevator was well as plastered posters on every inch of the bulletin boards throughout the building. I wanted to ensure it was something that had to be interacted with. To hang up other posters or put up prints for critics, you needed to address the posters and hopefully, interact with them. It is so often that we keep our heads down to just get through the day. My goal was to create an exhibition to obvious and outstanding to ignore.
