Regardless of the urgency of cancer treatment, red tape and lengthy delays are constantly getting in between sick children and the right specialist to treat them. The Accelerating Kids’ Access to Care Act (AKACA) is designed to cut through the insurance bureaucracy and shorten time required for an out of state specialist to treat children with cancer. With the help of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, we developed this video to ask as an education tool for grass roots organizers to better understand the importance of AKACA.
To showcase universality and simplicity, we created a family of three characters and a medical professional based on circular heads and faces. These characters complimented the geometric art direction and simplistic data visualization present throughout the whole video.
